August 2026: What Is Happening

August Arrives with Lots of News!

Good news! Over the course of this year, André and the developer team have been working to create a new visual identity for our app and migrate to an updated, faster platform. This month, we were able to launch this new version, which is already available on the Play Store and Apple Store, for Android and iOS. For those who already have the app installed, the update is automatic, requiring no action on your part.

New Website and Spotify

A few months ago, we launched the new website for Rádio Palavra Alegre, which can be accessed at www.palavraalegre.com.br. On this page, you can read our content in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. On our website, you can find our series, past programs, Bible studies, as well as our blog featuring the latest updates.

Another new feature that is already active is our Podcasts, which can be accessed on Spotify. Almost all of the year's programs are already available on the platform and can be accessed and listened to free of charge. 💡 Reflection: Each new resource — whether the renewed app, the website, or Spotify — represents another open door for God's Word to reach more people around the world.

Special Programming for August

1 Peter Series and Encounters with Jesus

In our programming, we are continuing our series on the book of 1 Peter with Allan Dutton Jr., as well as the continuation of the Encontros com Jesus (Encounters with Jesus) series written by Gayle Crowe.

The Lord's Supper

On Sundays, the A Ceia do Senhor (The Lord's Supper) series has been broadcasting, and our listeners have been enjoying it very much. Our listener Bruno Lima, from northeastern Brazil, told us:

"The messages about the communion have been wonderful. I've really been enjoying them."

Children's Programming

Children's programming continues as part of our weekly schedule, with content focused on the spiritual growth of children and families.

Listeners from Around the World

Every month, we receive many messages from our listeners, and I'd like to highlight one we received from Germany. The listener's name is Nijat Imranli. He said:

"Hello, my name is Nijat, and I am 34 years old. I am originally from Azerbaijan and live in Berlin, Germany, and I have been listening to the radio since I was 27. I have been interested in listening to the radio and long-distance reception for many years. My interest started when I lived in my hometown, Baku, Azerbaijan, and I continued this hobby after moving to Berlin. Over the years, I have especially appreciated stations that still maintain traditional broadcasting, as this service has become increasingly rare in Europe. It was a great pleasure to listen to MWV Palavra Alegre in Berlin, Germany, and to receive confirmation of my reception. I thank the entire team and Rômulo Fontes for their hard work, dedication, and care for the listeners. I will continue to follow the broadcasts of MWV Palavra Alegre whenever possible."

💡 Reflection: It is a blessing to receive messages from such dedicated listeners around the world, who find in radio a connection to the Word of God and the history of broadcasting.
