July 2025: What's Going On?
July is a month of historic celebrations, highlighting the story of Antonio Ribeiro da Motta and the KNLS anniversary, along with new studies and series in Rádio Palavra Alegre's programming.

July: A Month of Historic Milestones
July opens with one of the most important periods in American history: on July 4, the United States celebrates Independence Day, marked by great festivities. In Brazil, the equivalent date is September 7. Wishing everyone a Happy 4th of July!
The Story of Antonio Ribeiro da Motta
Speaking of historic milestones, we want to share the story of one of our listeners and shortwave enthusiasts: Antonio Ribeiro da Motta. Beyond following our programming, he contributes by sending historical recordings he made over the years — precious archives of stations that no longer exist. He shares:
"I started listening to radio on a sleepless night. I switched to shortwave and the first broadcast I caught was a Christian station in Spanish, coming from Bonaire to Brazil. I was amazed by the audio quality. The next day I came back and started discovering other languages and stations. Since 1974, I have been building an archive. Today I collect these recordings on YouTube. It became a passion."
— Antonio Ribeiro da Motta – São Paulo – Brazil
💡 Reflection: A sleepless night can be the beginning of a passion that
lasts for decades. God uses the most unexpected moments to plant seeds that
bear fruit forever.

Congratulations, KNLS!
We close with a special tribute to KNLS, celebrating another anniversary. Our gratitude to the entire team in Alaska and to everyone who works tirelessly so our broadcasts never stop.
💡 Reflection: Every radio station that persists is a testament that God's
Word does not return void. Alaska broadcasts to the world — and the world
listens.
Congratulations, KNLS and World Christian Broadcasting!
