November 2025: What's Going On?

7 Years of Portuguese Broadcasting at Rádio Palavra Alegre

On October 28, 2018, we began our Portuguese shortwave broadcasts. Today, 7 years later, we joyfully celebrate another anniversary. God has blessed us greatly, and we have nothing but gratitude.

💡 Reflection: Seven years of mission are seven years of God's faithfulness. Every broadcast sent into the airwaves is an act of trust that He guides each frequency to the right heart.

Our Progress Over the Years

Over these seven years, we have gone through great transformations:

• Creation of the Rádio Palavra Alegre app, including the Lumo series

• Two visual redesigns of our website, including a new online Bible course

• Significant growth on Instagram and Facebook, with daily updates produced by our collaborator André Silva

Throughout this journey, we conducted various Bible studies with listeners and contacts, resulting in a total of 15 baptisms — glory to God!

New Platforms and Expansion

To reach more listeners, our programs are now available on Alexa and the Zeno platform. We remain committed to developing our own platform with daily broadcasts in Portuguese.

A Blessed Visit to WCB in Franklin

October was a very special month. I was blessed to visit the WCB office in Franklin with my family. We arrived late morning and joined the whole team and producers of other languages for lunch.

In meetings with Andy and Sue, I shared the goals achieved and current targets. I am deeply grateful to Diane Patterson, Sue Erwin, Phillis Sullivan and everyone who welcomed us so warmly — we truly felt blessed!

This period brought great spiritual and professional growth, with valuable exchanges with other producers. We learned so much and expanded our vision for mission work.

We continue with varied and uplifting content:

• Book of Mark series with Allen Dutton Jr.

• The Lord's Supper series, based on Messages for the Lord's Supper by Ranieri Vieira

• Children's Moment on Sundays, hosted by Beliza, with Bible themes in child-friendly language

• Women's Corner with Gisele Stefan, offering devotionals for women

• Shortwave & Ham Radio content on Saturdays with Danilo Nonato and Antonio Ribeiro da Motta

Letter from a Listener in Germany

We highlight a special message from faithful listener Helmut Matt, from Germany:

"Your programs are always very lively and full of enthusiasm, and I especially appreciate the beautiful music. Sometimes I cannot understand all the words, but I can feel the joy and peace they convey."

Helmut also sent us a moving poem, Homeland, recalling his childhood in the Black Forest — a testament to the fact that music and faith transcend language.

💡 Reflection: When God's peace is felt even without understanding every word, it is because His presence speaks louder than any human language.
