August 2025: What's Going On?

July: A Special Month for WCB and KNLS

Every year, July is a very special month — we celebrate another anniversary of WCB and KNLS, an important milestone that reminds us where it all began and celebrates where we are today, 42 years later. God has been good and merciful, and we owe gratitude to the entire team, collaborators, board and donors. Praise be to God!

Special Message from Listener Rafael Rosa

During WCB's anniversary week, we received an audio message from our listener Rafael Rosa, from Rio de Janeiro:

"Today is WCB's anniversary. On my part, I wish WCB a happy anniversary! This blessed and wonderful radio has always brought an important Christian message to all of us. Congratulations to everyone who makes WCB exist — at KNLS, Madagascar and in Brazil. I will keep following the programming."

💡 Reflection: Every listener message is a link in the chain that keeps

the mission alive. When someone says thank you, they are saying the Word

arrived — and that is everything.

The Lord's Supper Series

We continue recording the Lord's Supper messages, based on the book _Messages for the Lord's Supper by Ranieri Vieira. This reflection airs every Sunday.

Radio DX and the History of WCB

The Radio DX segment, broadcast every Saturday, explores the history of WCB through Antonio Argolo. The program is dedicated to shortwave listeners, featuring historical recordings and content about shortwave radio.

We currently rely on contributions from Antonio Ribeiro da Motta (SP) and Antonio Argolo (BA), while praying for the return of Danilo Nonato, who stepped away for personal reasons.

Translations and Special Recordings

We continue translating and recording texts by Andy Baker — _Words from the WCB President for You — as well as messages from the _Encounters with Jesus series by Gayle Crowe.

Anniversary Giveaway

On social media, we are running the radio anniversary promotion. The draw will take place on September 8, with prizes:

Bible Study with Allen Dutton Jr.

In August we continue the Book of Mark study with Allen Dutton Jr., which began in the final weeks of July, with plans to continue for several more months.

💡 Reflection: The book of Mark is the gospel of action — Jesus always

moving, always serving, always healing. To study it is to be invited to step

up and do the same.

A Tribute to Fathers

August in Brazil is Father's Day month! We want to congratulate all fathers in Brazil and around the world. May every father be an example of Christ and guide his children in God's ways, always persevering and never giving up. Happy Father's Day!
