April 2025: What's Going On?
April marks the WCB annual fundraising lunch, with months of preparation. New Instagram initiatives, online Bible studies and messages from listeners in Brazil, Morocco and beyond.

We Start April with Great Expectations!
April is the month of our annual fundraising lunch and dinner. Many things are being prepared to receive our guests, and since the beginning of the year everyone involved has been thinking through every detail of this incredible event.
During March, senior producers were involved in recording the promotional video to be shown at the event. In the Portuguese video, I spoke about our shortwave reach, the contacts received from around the world, our social media work and the RΓ‘dio Palavra Alegre app.
π‘ Reflection: Every cent raised at this event is an act of faith β a seed
planted so that the Word can keep crossing continents and touching hearts.
Palavra Alegre + A Sip of Coffee
In March, we launched a daily post called: "Palavra Alegre + A Sip of Coffee" β small Bible verses for daily meditation. The central idea is for our listeners and followers to have, every morning, a Bible verse for the day and a moment of connection with God's Word.
Shortwave Programming
We continue with the Spiritual Growth series by Allen Dutton Jr., focusing this month on the action of the Holy Spirit: how to receive Him and how to let Him work in our lives.
We are also concluding the series "When Women Appear" with Fernanda Silva β a total of 40 audio reflections on the women of the Bible and their lessons for daily life.
International Contacts
During March, we received contacts from China, Peru, the Philippines, Japan, Morocco and Brazil. We highlight the message from Daniel Lustosa, from the interior of Pernambuco:
"A few days ago I discovered your radio frequency through shortwave. I am loving the biblical programming. I can pick up the signal clearly here in northeastern Brazil. Greetings to everyone at the station."
We also received a message from Adil Moumane, a high school teacher from Morocco:
"My fascination with shortwave radio began in my teenage years. I was captivated by the ability to connect with distant stations and cultures. That passion has stayed with me, and I continue to enjoy listening to distant radio stations whenever possible."
π‘ Reflection: From Pernambuco to Morocco, the same frequency. Radio
unites what geography separates β and the Word unites what sin had separated.
May God bless everyone β a wonderful start to spring for those in the Northern Hemisphere and a good autumn for those in the Southern Hemisphere. Stay with God!
